Bekini Bekini is an Australian based artist with a passion and commitment to high quality manufacturing in Australia. All of her pieces are made by hand in her Adelaide Hills studios.
As her pieces are handmade, no two are the same. Colours, swirls, caves and bumps all change depending on the resins used to pour, pigments used, the weather and the final decision on how to hand sand the cured piece. This makes for unique works of art being created, and the imperfections naturally occurring with the reactions of the resins to each other are embraced by us in the creation of a finished piece.
Major errors, such as internal cracks and large chips and heavy scratches are not considered naturally occurring and should not be part of the Collection pieces. Lucky Dip and Samples and Seconds Sale pieces however may include cracks and scratches as they are not considered Collection pieces.
I take my environmental responsibilities as a company very seriously, and have implemented policies to try to use resins that replace petro-chemicals with renewable, bio-based materials. By employing green chemistry techniques that require less energy and produce less harmful byproducts, I reduce the greenhouse gas emissions from production of my pieces by 33% over conventional petroleum based resin based products.
